This morning I lost my quarter final to Joe Lee 3-1. Started well, I think we both played some good squash, I was moving much better then the matches before. He was up in the end of the game but made some errors, I took advantage and the game 13-11. The second game was quite similar, here he took a 9-6 lead, but again made some errors letting me get back. Even got game ball at 10-9, but I got inpatient and went for a silly shot, he took full advantage and so the game 12-10. In the third and fourth game my focus was gone, not sure if this had to do with my previous match or something else maybe. Anyway he played some solid squash to take the match.
Pleased with my first two games, not so pleased with the third and fourth game. For this year no more tournaments for me, so take a few days rest and after that start with some more physical training to prepare for the tournaments next year. Some good experiences these past couple of weeks, a lot to learn from! So for now I can enjoy a few more days here in the sun before heading back home, where the weather is not that great….
