Very disappointing to lose the first round. He was better today and I will have to work harder on certain aspects in my game to win next time. In the first game the ball was flying a bit and he was controlling this much better than I did. In the second game it was much closer, I was volleying the ball more and tried to play a bit more agressive, this worked well. Up to 9-9 all it was pretty close, then he got a stroke, and the rally after was tough but he finished it with a solid forehand drive. In the third he got to a big lead and did not let go.
I think today mentally I was not strong enough, which is a shame, I have been working quite hard on this. But besides the mental side there were some aspects in my game which I clearly have to work on. So a lot of training to do before the Nationals which start the 8th of February.
